Along the river Loire

Ville d'Art et d'Histoire

Duration: 2h - Price: from €7

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the landscapes along the banks of the Loire boast exceptional flora and fauna! But the Loire is also a river that has shaped the city's history, which has seen some of the greatest names in French history, such as Anne de Bretagne and Louis XI, pass through here. Today, it's a popular holiday destination for Touraine residents, with sandy beaches for lounging and numerous guinguettes along the banks.
Departing from downtown Tours, discover the secrets of the royal river via the Pont de Fil overlooking Ile Aucard and Place Choiseul, home to the former Octrois pavilions and the colorful works of Daniel Buren.

This guided tour has been awarded the Ville d'Art et d'Histoire label.
