Overlooking the Loire, Château de Moncontour stands on a hillside in the heart of the Vouvray appellation. Since 1994, with passion and commitment, the Feray family has preserved and embellished this château, making it one of the outstanding historic sites in the Loire Valley. The vineyard, one of the oldest in Touraine, is now ranked as one of the most prestigious wine estates in the Loire Valley. The estate extends over 130 hectares across the hillside and the valley. The Musée de Moncontour is housed in the troglodytic cellars of the château and traces the social and cultural history of the world of wine and wine-making. It has a collection of around 3,000 tools used in vineyard and wine-making.
