The troglodyte cellar of Domaine de la Chopinière du Roy, located in Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, is home to unique vintages, carefully preserved in an authentic setting. After exploring the cellar and tasting some old vintages, you’ll have the chance to sample the estate’s current cuvées, offering a great opportunity to compare aged wines with more recent ones. Clos de la Richardière is a former 17th-century winegrowing estate. Guylaine and Christophe Galland, the owners since 2019, have restored the wine press adjoining the main house and designed a trail through the vines to showcase the work of the winegrower. The walk continues through the wooded park with trees over three hundred years old and more than 30 different species of tree. The tour continues in the wine press with a tasting of Loire wines and gourmet specialities.
